Named after the World War II pilots used for UFO’s, the Foo Fighters were formed in Seattle, Washington in 1994. Started as a one-man project following the dissolution of Nirvana after Kurt Cobain’s death, Dave Grohl and band have been tearing up the rock and roll charts for over two decades. Grohl had originally released a cassette of songs in 1992 called“Pocketwatch” under the name Late! This served as an early stage of the Foo Fighters’ development.
